A Tonle Sap (Large Fresh Water River) weather station on a backdrop of pillowy cumulonimbus clouds. This is the largest freshwater lake in Southeast Asia. Its vast, flat floodplain renders the lake largely featureless. The Tonle Sap is noteworthy for being one of the most productive inland fisheries in the world, supporting over three million people and providing over 75% of Cambodia's annual inland fish catch, which makes up 60% of Cambodians' protein intake.
