A small restaurant near the train station in Anshun, Guizhou, offered this bowl of spicy soup noodles for breakfast, along with a side dish of spicy pickled cabbage and soy milk. Our meal was delicious and inexpensive. Not only did the staff enjoy the novelty of having foreigners eat in their restaurant, they also appreciated our enjoyment of their food. (Rick Green photo.)
