
Completed in 1910, the Beaux Arts Cobb Building was the first dedicated medical-dental building in the Western United States. J.F. Douglas and the Metropolitan Building Company duplicated the design of East Coast medical buildings. The architects even designed the Indian-head carvings after the East Coast Iroquois tribe.
