Shek O Headland
Image# cnhkg023
A solitary boat cruises through Tathong Channel past the Shek O Headland on a rainy day.
This is a shipping channel, the beginning of the eastern approach to Hong Kong Harbour. However, most of the maritime traffic is routed through the Lamma Channel to the western side which can accommodate a much greater amount of shipping. Junk Bay, before the eastern narrows at Lei Yue Mun, is the anchorage for dangerous cargo.
