Although this cemetery in Pok Fu Lam on the western side of Hong Kong Island is Christian, the graves are still laid out according to the precepts of feng shui (wind & water), the Chinese art of placement.
Hong Kong Chinese believe that if the deceased are not properly buried, their descendants will suffer. Therefore, the siting of graves is the most important consideration in feng shui. The ideal site is one that includes a proper view and location of a water body, symbolizing money. The highrise here could potentially block off someone's access to wealth, therefore, a feng shui master would have to be consulted to counteract any potential ill effect.
