Hong Kong night skyline looking east from Victoria Peak with North Point, Kowloon Bay and Lei Yue Mun in the background. The Bank of China Building, designed by I.M. Pei, is the bamboo-inspired skyscraper in the centre of the photo — a "Mainland Chinese dagger in the heart of Hong Kong" according to a popular pre-1997 analogy — which was the tallest building in the city until Central Plaza (behind it, to the right) was completed in 1992.
